Temporary site-specific
work commissioned by Aspex Gallery, Portsmouth.
The Aspex Gallery,
Brougham Rd, was a former chapel. The site has had many differing
uses over the past two centuries. One role may have been as a
shelter for homeless and evacuated civilians during World War
2. The tower marked the passing of time with a bell chime every
quarter of an hour.
